Warrior King - remains high on bestseller lists

I just wanted to stop by and let everyone know that Warrior King is still doing very well. It is in the top spot of Anchient Historical on ARE. In time travel it remains strong at #5. It remains in the top ten over on Strand Books. BUT....I'm happy to announce that it is #18 on Amazon romantic time travel! I've never made an Amazon list before....so I'm very excited!

November 8, 2011 Release date WARRIOR KING

Edits are complete for Warrior King and the release date is November 8, 2011. This story has different elements than my usual stories....but no worries, the alpha male is still in control. Domrick Brideman was a "military guy" when they didn't even know what the military was. So, get your copy of Warrior King and enjoy my first fantasy/paranormal release!

Warrior King cover art released

With the release of the cover art of Warrior King, it will no longer be a secret that I have jumped head first in the paranormal genre of writing. The Warrior King is about an archaeologist who is exploring a 13th century castle. She doesn't believe in time travel, but meeting a man named Domrick Brideman left no room for doubt. It is a story full of twists and turns....and the characters of the story learn first hand that even while visiting another century...time never stands still.

Have you ever found yourself working too hard?

I have come to the realization that I've been working entirely too hard lately. I've been struggling with three stories; not knowing which was actually going to be finished first. As it turns out, a forth story that was in the first few chapters is complete! I'm polishing the manuscript now to send to my publisher; the three other stories are still laying in wait. Just when I think I have all the pieces to put the puzzles together, something else pops up to make me "rethink" the entire plot. Sometimes stories do that; in the end I'll appreciate the effort more.

Electric Rain is in edits now; I've been working on those for about a week now. Thank goodness there is plenty of time to get that done without having to dive head first into it. The Warrior King should go to edit soon; as of today I haven't heard a word about it from the publisher and I'm not going to rock the boat.

The laundry is piling up; patiently waiting. It sounds strange but these stories just won't "release" me so that I can go on with every day chores. But, I love it when stories demand to be written; not settling for the easy way out. The three stories in question should be really good ones; at least I hope so.

I'm doing some in depth research on a few things involved in one of those stories; if anybody out there is a Maintainer for military aircraft (Navy, Army, Marines) I'd love to talk to you. I've found that some questions can't be answered by reading the published information about the job. I like for my stories to be realistic; I don't want some military buff (much like myself) reading my book only to say, "That's crazy, any idiot would know that isn't possible in the military." So, if you know any military airplane mechanics who might be willing to swap a few emails please have them drop me a line at arlene.knowell@gmail.com. I would appreciate it.

Finally, Wildcat is still on the top 25 seller list on most ebook websites. For those of you who have read it, you probably noticed the set up for a third book. Rhett Globe is a hunk that deserves to tell his own story. So, enjoy the read and get ready for more.

I hope you all have a wonderful evening....drop by when you can. Thanks for all that you do!

Wildcat appears on bestseller lists!

Wildcat was released on July 27, 2010 - I was plesantly surprised yesterday to see that it is already marked as a Bestseller on All Romance Ebooks as well as BookStrand. I was hoping to find it doing a climb into the top 100, imagine my shock to see it in the top 10 already!

For everyone who has taken the time to purchase Wildcat, I thank you. It is wonderful to know that Blake and Rachel were loveable enough that you'd all come back for more.

As an added bit of incentive to get you rolling toward the bookstore....it is very possible that Far From Innocent and Wildcat will have yet another sequel....so look for Rhett Globe in a book store near you.

WILDCAT set for July 2011 release!

Wildcat is finally finished; edits are complete and the release is set for this month! If you enjoyed Far From Innocent then Wildcat is a must read for you. You'll continue to fall in love with Blake Linden and you'll be cheering Rachel on, every step of the way. You will also see a new hero in the making, the arrival of Rhett Globe in the picture just chunks up the heat another notch. So check out the cover art to the right....hot huh?

I'm off to work on Electric Rain, which is due to my editor by September. The edits for The Warrior King are in progress. I'm knee deep in five new adventures at the moment; hopefully they'll all be in print next year.

So if you are out browsing the web looking for stories about hot guys; alpha males is what I like to call them....then you're home. Blake Linden, Shane Newcomb and Jonathan McCord are calling your name.....Have a wonderful July 4th....remember that our freedom isn't free... don't take it for granted!

In the spin off of SEAL Team 6's heroic act!

I figure that since the heroic act of SEAL Team 6, that snuffed out Bin Laden, American women everywhere are trying to learn more about the mysterious men. I've known for many years what made up a true hero and it isn't driving a race car, running with a ball, or riding a bull; heroes are those men of the military who serve their country selflessly, usually for very little pay.

I'm sure that there will be a plethera of romance novels out there with SEAL characters... it is just sad that it comes out of something like this. These guys have always been heroes and chances are their lives have been risked many times other than the mission that has made them famous. The fact that America is free should be enough to recognize a true hero; to want such a man as your very on.

You will find with most of my books that there is a military theme or at least an alpha military character who is the hero. The future of my books will be no exception; my heroes remain the same. I do have a story in my aresenal of work that is about SEAL Team 6 and Delta Force, set at Pope AFB....when the backlash deminishes I will dig that story out and send it off to my publisher.

So, to all you women out there who have just realized that the real heroes are in the big green rifle club....welcome aboard! Come on in, pull up a chair and get ready for some big attitudes, hard bodies and stamana that lasts all night long.

New contract! The Warrior King

The Warrior King was recently contracted by Carnal Passions. The story is paranormal/time travel and probably my most erotic piece to date. In this story the heroine finds herself 500 years in the past where she meets the man of her dreams. There are many snags along the way; including her refusal to believe in time travel, dimensions, portals or any such things. Sometimes, seeing is believing. The novella is due out tenatively in November 2011.

Electric Rain contracted by Champage Books!

My fifth novella entitled Electric Rain will go into edits this September. I received the contract for the piece yesterday. Electric Rain, although not directly linked to Summer Rain, is another serial killer mystery. I've always been intrigued by what makes such people tick, and both stories were fun to write. There will be a third story in the line, and I'm still toying with then name of it....I'm just not sure if it will follow suite with the "Rain" title, at this point.

As of now, my time will go into Wildcat, the sequel of Far From Innocent. It is due out in July, 2011. Thanks for stopping by.

Far From Innocent sequel

I've had several people ask me about the sequel for Far From Innocent...I wanted to let you know that I submitted the manuscript for the sequel to my publisher. It will be several weeks before I know if they will accept the story. Please check back to find out more. In the even that the manuscript is not selected by Carnal Passions, I will most likely publish it as a free read on my site. Too many people wanting to hear the rest of Blake and Rachel's story to just let it die.
